Penny Denise Myres

Penny Denise Myres, 51, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on November 11, 2016, at her home.

 

A memorial visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

 

Born in Nederland, Texas, on December 10, 1964, she was the daughter of Clifford and Melverine Myres. Penny worked at the Toby Hahn Post Office in Beaumont. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson Dylan. Penny was always happy, energetic, and smiling. She will be truly missed.

 

Penny is survived by her parents; her son, Michael Myres, of Kountze; daughter, Tiffany Stockman, of Pleasanton; grandson, Dylan; and her sister, Lisa Myres Sadowski.

Donna F. Klein, 51, of Orange, passed away on November 15, 2016, in Beaumont, Texas.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 21, 2016, at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Baytown, Texas, on January 23, 1965, she was the daughter of Paul Klein, Sr. and Barbara (Lotz) Klein. Donna graduated with Honors from Lamar University and went on to work as a registered nurse at Seaton Hospital. She enjoyed the beach, her convertible, and diet coke in a cup with a straw. Donna loved shopping, bopping, and spending Pop Pop’s money. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Virginia Lotz and Francis Lucille Klein.

She is survived by her parents; her wonderful daughters, Rebecca Bryant and Johnathan Hughes, of Orangefield and Samantha Swanson and fiancé Zack Johnson, of Ft. Lewis, WA; grandchildren, Madison Hughes and Jaxson Hughes; siblings, Deborah Trnka and husband Greg, of Haymarket, VA and Paul Klein, Jr. and wife Elizabeth, of Mauriceville; her only niece and nephew, Robert and Whitney Trnka; along with other family members.

C.R. “Bill” Kiihnl

C.R. “Bill” Kiihnl, 91, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on November 15, 2016.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 18, 2016, at Winfree Baptist Church in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend E. Dale Lee, of Cowboy Church of Orange, Texas. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park Cemetery in Port Neches, Texas.

Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Born in Marks, Mississippi, on June 14, 1925, he was the son of John William Kiihnl and Hallie Bell (Jenkins) Kiihnl. Bill was an operator/pumper at Texaco in Port Arthur for 38 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. Bill was a member of Bridge City Masonic Lodge #1345 AF & AM as well as a member of Cowboy Church of Orange County. He served 20 years as a Fire Marshal with the City of Bridge City and Bridge City Volunteer Fire Department. He was a State Certified Arson Investigator and trained at the National Fire Academy in arson investigation. Bill served 5 years as Bridge City Code Enforcement Officer. He was a wonderful father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Ruth Kiihnl; his parents; and his daughter, Sandra Cook.

Bill is survived by his children, George Cappel and wife Linda, of Bridge City, Ogden Cappel and wife Karen, of Gonzales, and Kim Davis and husband Paul, of Bridge City; his grandchildren, Stacey Bradley, Shawn Cappel, Garon Worrell, Craig Cappel, Brandon Worrell, Kristi Trahan, Jeremy Cappel, Madison Davis, and Mason Davis; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; his caregiver and special friend, Brenda Wallace; and the twinkle of his eye, Joann Collins.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Cappel, Craig Cappel, Troy Trahan, Mason Davis, Lane Morrison, and Jerald Smith.

Leonard “Lynn” Brown Wallace, 80, of Orange, Texas, passed away on November 16, 2016, in Beaumont, Texas. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 20, 2016, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Randy Branch of Wesley United Methodist Church in Orange. Burial will follow at Wilkinson Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m., to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Orange, Texas, on January 17, 1936, Lynn was the son of James Luther Wallace and Fannye Marie Brown Wallace. Lynn opened the first privately owned indoor arena in 1970, Tin Top Rodeo Arena, where he worked as Rodeo Producer and Owner until 1995. Lynn loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Charlene Rue Wallace; brothers, W.W. “Butch” Wallace and Jimmy Dale Wallace; son-in-law, Michael Alan Collins; and his brother-in-law, Roger Rue.

Lynn is survived by his children, Toby Lynn Wallace and wife Lorrie Howell Wallace, of Tolar and Wendy Collins, of Orange; grandchildren, Tate Wilson, Peyton Alan Collins, and Hanna Rue Wallace; and his sisters-in-law, Janie Wallace Melton and husband Tommy, Sandra Dickey and husband Mike, Nancy Rue, and Pat Laughlin Wallace.

William “Bill” Price Bailey

William “Bill” Price Bailey, 86, of Orange, Texas, passed away on November 16, 2016 in Beaumont, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016, at First United Methodist Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend John Warren. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Lochgelly, West Virginia, on December 22, 1929, Bill was the son of Lemon and Evelyn Bailey. Bill was the District Executive for the Boy Scouts of America. He proudly served his country and retired from the United States Air Force. He was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church, served with the Orange County Methodist Men, Kairos, Golden Triangle Emmaus, and was the head usher at the church. Bill was the first to be awarded the Distinguished Citizen Award in 2016 as well as the first recipient of the North Star Award in the Three Rivers Council. He was a member of various groups and organizations including the Loyal Order of Moose, Lion’s International, American Legion, VFW, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, Rotary International, Boy Scouts of American, Golden Triangle Rose Society, The Theater Guild at Francis Lutcher Theater, along with being an air traffic controller in the Army Air Corp, a ground radio operator, and a ham radio operator. Bill was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, William Emery Richard; brothers, Charles Bailey and Dennis Bailey; and his sister, Margaret Swanigan.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Malissie Bailey; children, Sylvia Hicks and husband Mike, of Waco and William P. Bailey, II and wife Melissa, of Deweyville; grandson, Eric Bailey and wife Kim, of Morgantown, WV; great-granddaughter, Kiera Bailey; siblings, Phillip Bailey, Roland Bailey, Roy Daniel Bailey, Norma Gaye Burke, and Gloria Flanders; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Ferdie Roy, 90, of Orange, Texas passed away on November 17, 2016, in DeQuincy, Louisiana.

 

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in Orange. Officiating will be Robin Norris, chaplain with Amedidis Hospice.

 

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

 

Born in Rayne, Louisiana, on June 5, 1926, Ferdie was the son of Ovey Roy and Alzine M. (Mire) Roy Leger. He retired from Weingarten’s in Orange where he worked as a meat cutter.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Christine Roy; and a son, James Allen Roy.

 

Ferdie is survived by his son, Larry Gene Roy and wife Polly; grandchildren, Melissa Willis and husband Chuck, Robin Herrin and husband Luke, and Jason Roy; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Don Grissom Clifton, Jr., 56, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.  A Memorial Service, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home, will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, November 21, 2016, at Dorman Funeral Home with Brother Freddie Shores officiating; cremation to follow.  Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the memorial service at Dorman Funeral Home on Monday, November 21, 2016, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. 

Don was born on Monday, May 9, 1960, in San Antonio, Texas, to the late Francis Annette (Stephens) and Don Grissom Clifton, Sr.  He was a Christian man who had spent the past 26 years as a resident of Orange, Texas, after moving from Aransas Pass, Texas.  In his youth and as a young adult, Don spent many years working as a shrimper.  As he got older, Don became a welder and was known as a man who was a very hard worker.  When he wasn’t working hard as a welder, Don enjoyed spending time at home with his sons working on cars, spending time barbequing, and helping his wife, Marcie, around the house.  Don was a family man who loved spending time with his wife, his children, and his beautiful grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Annette and Don Clifton, Sr.; son, Jerry Henson; and daughter, Tabitha Clifton.

Don is survived by his wife, Marcie Clifton; sons, Don Clifton, III and Tommy Henson; brother, Chris Clifton; sister, Traci Clifton; Sister-in-Law, Doddie Bares; Niece, Haley Bares; grandchildren, Chelsey Henson, Mason Henson, Jerry Clifton, Broody Clifton, and Don Clifton, IV; and many members of his extended family, and friends who will miss him dearly.

John Nelon Brister, 46, of Orange, Texas passed away on November 17, 2016, in Orange.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, November 21, 2016, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Pastor Darren Hearnsberger, of Triumph Church in Nederland, Texas. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday, November 20, 2016, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Trenton, New Jersey, on March 14, 1970, he was the son of Roger Brister and Sherilyn Brister. He was a member of Triumph Church in Nederland, Texas. John loved working with kids and was a big kid at heart. He was an umpire for little league baseball, refereed for Little Dribblers basketball, and was a diehard Cowboys fan.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Chris Richard Dyson, Sr.; and grandparents, Neil and Vera Brister, and James and Jean Crumpler.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Dyson Brister, of Orange; parents, Roger and Sherilyn Brister, of Orange; children, Gracilyn Marie Brister, and Cody Austin Jones; sister, Susan Broussard and husband Kent, of Splendora, TX; mother-in-law, Debra Dyson, of Orange; brothers-in-law, Chris Dyson and wife, Rhonda, and Ike Dyson and wife, Christy; and nieces and nephews, Ty Broussard, Taryn Broussard, Chris Dyson III, Breanna Dyson, Kelsey Dyson, Christopher Kyle, Chance Kyle, and Christa Kyle.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rusty Wells, Adam Perkins, Larry Griffin, Jason Crumpler, Cody Fisette, Jeffery Fisette, Andrew Hoosier, and Cesar Castillo. Honorary pallbearers are Shane Crumpler, Ty Broussard, Chris Dyson III, Kent Broussard, Chris Dyson, Jr., William Dyson, and Christopher Kyle.

Robert “Bobby” Louis Franken, 53, of Bridge City, passed away on November 17, 2016, at his home in Bridge City.

 

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM, Monday, November 21, 2016, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. A graveside service will follow, starting at 3:00 PM, at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in Orange.

 

Born in Orange, Texas, on January 10, 1963, he was the son of James Edward Franken and Geraldine “Jerry” Stewart. Bobby liked to draw and write poems. He was a loving father, brother, and uncle. He was a friend to all and was well liked by everyone who knew him.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rhonda Franken; and sister, Darlene Lambert.

 

He is survived by son, Robert Lee Franken, from Louisiana; brother, James Franken and wife, Marie; sisters, Nancy Prouse and husband, Charles, from Bridge City, Diana Whitehead, from Bridge City, Susan Haley, from Orange, Christella Callahan, from Orange, and Kandis Dallas and husband, Johnny, from Orange; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Billy Gene “Scooter” Denham

Billy Gene “Scooter” Denham, 87, of Conroe, Texas, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at his home in Conroe. Funeral services, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home, will be held at Dorman Funeral Home on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at 10:00 AM; Brother Doug Loomis officiating.  Rite of Committal and Interment will immediately follow funeral services at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange, Texas.  Visitation will be held at Dorman Funeral Home Friday, November 18, 2016, from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM, for family and friends. 

On Sunday, October 6, 1929, in Lillie, Louisiana, Billy  was born  to the late Laura Pearl (Blocker) and Billy Denham.  Billy, Master Sergeant, was an active member of the United States Air Force for 24 years and served honorably for his country during the Vietnam War, and the Korean Conflict.  After stepping down from active duty, Billy worked for many in years at the City of Orange as a superintendent.  In 1950, Billy married the love of his life, Evelyn (Forehand), and together they raised a beautiful family.  Together, Billy and his wife, Evelyn, spent 44 years in Orange, before recently moving to Conroe.  Billy was a devout Christian man who was of the Baptist Faith and was an active member of the Faith Missionary Baptist Church.  He also spent many years working as the Choir Director at his church.  Billy enjoyed any time that he could watch sports; baseball, football, and golf were his favorite.  He was excellent with numbers and was always able to keep up with the sports statistics of each of his favorite athletes.  Billy was a true family man who loved when he was able to spend time with everyone.  He was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, who will be missed by many

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Laura Pearl and Billy Denham; daughter, Bill Jean Albritton; and grandchild, Chrissy Denham, his great-grandson, Ryan Joseph Denham, and great-granddaughter, Jules Avery Sunderland.

Billy is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Evelyn Denham; son, Ronald Wayne “R.W.” Denham and his wife, Ginny, of Orange, Texas; daughters, Deborah Ann Sunderland of Mauriceville, Texas, Sheila Bembry and her husband, John of Orange, Texas, Gena Loomis and her husband, Doug of Conroe, Texas,  and Holly Denham Kelley of Buna, Texas; brothers, Gwayne Denham of Bossier City, Louisiana, and Bobby Denham and his wife, Mary Dee of Orange, Texas; sister, Laura Mooney of Mauriceville, Texas; and 21 Grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Honoring Billy as Pallbearer are Travis Miller, Ronald Denham, Kyle Kelley, Douglas Loomis, Anthony Loomis, Patrick Albritton, and Daniel Sunderland.

Josephine Patricia Ferguson

Josephine Patricia Ferguson, 84, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016, at The Meadows of Orange in Orange, Texas.  A memorial Service, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home, will be held at 12:00 PM on Sunday, November 20, 2016, at Dorman Funeral Home; cremation to follow.  A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the memorial service at Dorman Funeral Home on Sunday, November 20, 2016, from 10:00 AM- 12:00PM. 

Josephine was born on Saturday, September 10, 1932, in Kingston Upon the Thames, United Kingdom, to the late Ena Mary Emily (Randall) and Harold Fowler.  As a young girl during WWII, Josephine grew up knowing that it was necessary to ration the family’s food supply.  Josephine fell in love with an Airman, John Henry Ferguson, who was stationed in England.  During their date to the movies, John, unaware of Josephine’s rations, treated Josephine to a pile of goodies. Josephine loved the airman so much, that she never told him that the treats were purchased with a month’s worth of her rations.  She married the Airman and moved with him to Orange, Texas, so that they could begin their life together.  Josephine was a resident of Orange, Texas, for 63 years.  At home, Josephine loved to cook and bake, using the skills she obtained from working at a bakery as a young girl in England.  Josephine worked as a housewife, raising her 4 children and loved her family dearly.  She loved times when she could enjoy a cup of hot tea and when she was able to play Bingo.  Josephine was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be missed by many.

Those preceding Josephine in death are her husband of 51 years, John Henry Ferguson, Sr.; parents, Ena Mary Emily and Harold Fowler; and her brother; Tony Fowler.

She is survived by her sons, John Henry Ferguson, Jr. and his wife, Rita Sharon of Orange, Texas, and Marshall Dean Ferguson and his wife, Deborah of Orange, Texas; daughters, Ena Louise Doucet and her husband, Billy Joe of Vinton, Louisiana, and Toni Annette Newell and her husband, John of Alto, Texas;  12 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Marie Cole, 83, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas.  A graveside service, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home, will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016, beginning at 2:30 PM, at Orange Forest Lawn in Orange, Texas; Brother Berry Bradley will be officiating.  A visitation for family and friends will be held at Dorman Funeral Home, prior to the graveside service, on Thursday, November 17, 2016, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.  Procession will be leaving Dorman Funeral Home at 2:00 PM and traveling to Orange Forest Lawn, for graveside services.

Dorothy was born on Monday, April 10, 1933, to the late Julie McHenry and Alex Willis in Oakdale Louisiana.  She was a devout Christian woman and a member of the West Orange Baptist Church.  Dorothy was a homemaker, who worked very hard to keep the home for her loving husband, Robert Cole, Sr., and their children.  She was a woman who loved taking care of and spending time with her family.  When she was able to have some time to herself, Dorothy loved being able to go have her hair done and go shopping; it was always a treat when she could find pretty things.  Dorothy is described by her family as a caring and loving woman, and as the best mother, and grandmother.

Those preceding Dorothy in death are her parents, Julie and Alex Willis; her husband, Robert R. Cole, Sr.; son, Bruce Cole; daughter, Mona Lisa Cole Vance and her husband, Donald; brothers, Woodrow Willis, Phillip Willis, Herman Willis, and Sherman Willis; and sisters, Ola Harris and Alpha June “Crickett” Johns.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Sabrina Kay Tumlinson and her husband, Charle of Orange; son, Robert R. Cole, Jr. and his wife, Jessie, of Orange; sister, Imer Douget; daughter-in-law, Lorraine Cole of Orange; grandchildren, Robert Cole and his wife, Stacia, Phillip Cole and his wife, Nicole, Tabitha Fedoroff and her husband, Micah, Charlie Tumlinson , Karen Anne Vandevender and her husband, Mike, James Puente and his wife, Allison, Joey Vance and his wife, Doree, Cody Vance and his wife, Lauren, and James Blair; great- grandchildren, Madison, Raven, Taylor, Hunter, Kresten, Bruce, Jennifer, Jillian, Hollie, Hunter, Bishop, Meagan, Chole, Joshua, Piper, James, Addison, Ariel, Erick, Daniel, Jace, Alssya, Asher, Avery, Julia, and Payton; great-great-grandchildren, Tanner, Braydon, Emerson, and Jarrett; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family who loved, and will miss her dearly.

Leonard Wayne McKamie

Leonard Wayne McKamie, 50, of Orange, passed away on November 20, 2016 at his home.

 

Born in Louisville, Arkansas, on November 23, 1965, he was the son of Haskell Wayne McKamie and Frances Pauline (Rudolph) Fisher. Leonard graduated from Texas High School in Texarkana. He enjoyed video games and building any type of model. He was simple, but a wonderful man. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

 

He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

 

He is survived by his daughter, Katherine Pauline McKamie, of British Columbia; his step-dad, Truman S. Fisher; and his brothers, Daniel Gamble and Keith Gamble, of Jonesboro, Arkansas.

 

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory.

Harold A. Allbritton, 81, of Orange, Texas, passed to his heavenly home on Saturday, November 19, 2016.  His family will be honoring his wishes for cremation, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.

 

Harold was born on Saturday, February 9, 1935, In Tullos, Louisiana, to parents Eunice Estelle (Cockerham) and Oscar Doughty Allbritton.  He graduated from LaSalle High School in Olla, Louisiana, and attended Louisiana Tech in Ruston, Louisiana.  Harold began working for DuPont in Orange, Texas, in 1956 and retired in 1993.  He loved God, family, outdoors, traveling, and woodcarving.  Harold was a member of Little Cypress Baptist Church where he taught boy’s Sunday School Class for several years.

 Preceding Harold in death are his parents; daughter, Susan Allbritton; and brother, O.D. Allbritton.

Harold is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nelda Crick Allbritton; sons, Mike Allbritton of Olla, Louisiana, Wayne Allbritton and his wife, Paulette; grandchildren, Mark Allbritton, Alicia Mouton (Bobby); great-grandchildren, Blake, Allie Jo, Kylie, Azlyn, and Gabrielle, all of Orange, Texas; sister-in-law, Pearl Allbritton of Jena, Louisiana; nieces and nephews; his special friends from preschool days to the end, Shirley Cockerham Lunsford and Donald D. Doughty; and his best woodcarving buddy, Logan Ratcliff.

 

Friends are invited to join the family, in celebration of Harold’s life, Monday, November 28, 2016, from 3:00 PM- 5:00PM in the fellowship room of Little Cypress Baptist Church, 3274 Little Cypress Drive, Orange, Texas.

Robert “Bobby” Arch Martin, 84, of Orangefield, Texas, passed away on November 21, 2016.

A memorial gathering will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 26, 2016, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Born in Jasper, Texas, on August 10, 1932, he was the son of J.A. and Odell Martin. Bobby was a member of a bowling league and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his grandson, Jayson Roberts.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Betty Martin; children, Jackie Roberts and husband George, of Orangefield, Johnny Martin and wife Hollie, of Orangefield, and George Martin, of Jasper; grandchildren, Justin Roberts, Kari Shellhammer, Crystal Martin, John Robert Martin, Gracie Martin, Carey Chapman, and Tabatha Marks; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Tom Phelps, of Vidor and Cleabern Phelps, of Jasper; and his aunt, Marie Harris, of Groves.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association at 10900-B Stonelake Blvd., Suite 320 Austin, TX 78759.

Glenn C. Mangham

Glenn C. Mangham, 92, passed away peacefully at Sabine House assisted living on November 20, 2016. He was born in Nacogdoches, TX on July 23, 1924, having lived there all of his young life. He served in the US Marine Corps during World War II in the Pacific rim. He married Juanita Jones on August 10, 1945, and they were married for 68 years until her death on June 19, 2014. Shortly after his graduation with a degree in accounting from Stephen F. Austin State Teachers College, Glenn and Nita moved to Orange where he went to work for the then new E. I. DuPont Company and worked there until his retirement in 1982, ending his career there as chief shift supervisor.

Glenn enjoyed a long retirement, participating in many hobbies, including golf, fishing, and building furniture and toys for his grandchildren. He and Nita also enjoyed trips with friends, but he was always glad to get home. Glenn was a good friend, a great judge of character, and unabashedly proud of his (children and) grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Nita, his sister, Mary Lee Bivin, and his daughter-in-law, Brigitte Fuerst Mangham. He is survived by his daughter, Glenda, her husband, Steve Wilson, and their daughters, Stefanie and Annie; and his son, Sam, and his children, Eric, Scott, and Emily; and his grandson, Ethan.

There will be no memorial service, but there will be a private inurnment at a later date. If you wish to remember Glenn, you may give to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Orange, the Orange Public Library, or the charity of your choice.

Elizabeth Ann Fontenot, 58, of Orange, Texas, passed away on November 22, 2016, at her home surrounded by loved ones.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 27, 2016, at Cowboy Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend E. Dale Lee. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

 

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

 

Born in Hartford City, Indiana, on February 13, 1958, Elizabeth was the daughter of John and Louise Lieber. She was a member of Cowboy Church where she enjoyed going to her bible study group. Elizabeth liked playing bunco, shopping, essential oils, and spending time with her many friends going to Tequilas. She loved her grandkids and enjoyed going to story time at the library. She met her husband through “The Way Ministries” and shared a lifetime of love with him. Elizabeth was a two time cancer survivor and a selfless woman who was always doing for other people. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

 

She was preceded in death by her father John Lieber; and her grandmother, Grace Bliss.

 

Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Billy Fontenot; her mother, Lou Lieber; children, Amber Cormier and husband Robert, of Orangefield and Scarlett Fontenot, of Orange; grandchildren, Sophia Cormier and Chad Cormier; and her brother, John Lieber, of Florida.

 

Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Cormier, Gary Fontenot, Larry Cormier, Farley Fontenot, Kevin Breaux, and Shane Williamson.

 

In lieu of flowers, books may be donated in her name to the Bridge City Public Library or contributions made to a charity of your choice.

James Elton “Pete” Guillot, 59, of Orange, Texas, passed away on November 22, 2016, at his home surrounded by loved ones.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 25, 2016, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Mr. Melvin Payne, Deacon of St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be prior to service beginning at 12:00 p.m.

 

Born in Orange, Texas, on September 20, 1957, Pete was the son of Elton and Mary Guillot. Pete graduated from Lamar University with a degree in real estate. He followed in his father’s footsteps and had rental property and a lawn service that he enjoyed. Pete lived his life following the simplest of scripts, “If you want a friend, be a friend”. He was a kind man, and a light to his community who brought a smile to everyone that knew him. He was so loved and indispensable to his family. Pete was very in tune with nature and loved spending time outdoors fishing and camping. He touched many, many lives and will be greatly missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Elton Matthew Guillot.

 

He is survived by his life partner and soul mate who has stood by his side for 25 years, Lin Livingston; his mother, Mary Guillot; sister, Joyce Morris and husband Paul; and his nieces and nephews, Robert Morris and wife Julie, Andrew Morris, Anne-Marie Guillory and husband Steven, Renee Celeste and husband Zach, and Michele Morris.

 

Serving as pallbearers will be Kirt Lee Frank, Andrew Morris, Steven Guillory, Zach Celeste, Paul Morris, and Robert Morris.

Shirley Ann Chapman, 82, of Orange, passed away on November 22, 2016, at her home in Orange.

 

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 26, 2016, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Russel Willis, chaplain with Gentiva Hospice in Beaumont. Burial will follow at Jett Cemetery in Orange.

 

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

 

Born in Trawick, Texas, on November 16, 1934, she was the daughter of Dallas Foman Ferguson and Artie Lee (Barrett) Ferguson. Shirley was a loving wife and mother. She liked to sew, crochet, and was an avid reader. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Freddie L. Chapman; her brother, Roy Ferguson; and her sister, Bobbie Bacon.

 

She is survived by her daughter, La Donna Chapman; her sons, Freddie Lee Chapman, Jr. and his wife Patricia, Randy Eugene Chapman, James Allen Chapman and his wife Laura, Charles Leslie Chapman, and Bradley Guillot and his wife Carrie; her grandchildren, Shane, Courtney, Chris, Brandon, Shawn, Heidi, Tyler, Kimberly, Chase, Aaron, Dustin, and Casey; her great-grandchildren, Cameron, Jacob, Breanna, Caleb, Corbin, Trystin, Jaydon, and Jordan; and her nieces, Patty Ferguson, Shonna Moore, Brenda Glover, and Bonita Hall.

 

Serving as pallbearers will be Bradley Guillot, Cameron Guillot, Jacob Guillot, Caleb Perkins, Chase Chapman, Tyler Chapman, Benjamin Moore, and Jared Sensat. 

 

The family would like to give a special appreciation to Gentiva Hospice, her daughter, La Donna Chapman and her nieces, Patty Ferguson, Shonna Moore, Brenda Glover, and Bonita Hall for the loving care given to Mrs. Chapman.

James Eugene Whatley II, age 55 of Orange, Texas,  passed away while deer hunting on Saturday, November 19, 2016 in Jasper, Texas. Services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Dorman Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Dorman Funeral Home.

James was born on May 14, 1961 in Orange, Texas to Clara Estelle Turner Whatley and James Eugene Whatley, Sr. He graduated from Little Cypress Mauriceville High School in 1979 and DeVry University. He owned and operated American Audio Video in Orange. James loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Eugene Whatley, Sr. and his mother Clara Estelle Casiano.

Those left behind to share his memories are his three sisters; Brenda Faye Robinson of Houston, TX, Lisa Loretta Marsiglia and her husband Michael of Beaumont, TX and Susan Clarise Sankowich of Bessemer City, NC. One brother, Guy Mitchell Whatley of Orange, TX. Ten nieces and nephews; John Granger, Eric Robinson, Sabrina Robinson, Andy Marsiglia, Adam Marsiglia, Samantha Marsiglia, Elizabeth Marsiglia, Alexander Sankowich III, James Sankowich and Steven Sankowich. Seven great nieces and nephews; Olivia Robinson, Trinity Granger, Mia Marsiglia, Zoe Marsiglia, Azeral Marsiglia, Grace Sankowich and Emerson Sankowich.
