C.H. Williams, Jr

C.H. Williams, Jr., 96, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on December 24, 2016, in Beaumont, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Grace Lutheran Church at 2300 Eddleman Rd. Orange, Texas 77630. Officiating will be Reverend Tom Haas. Burial will follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor.

Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Born in Many, Louisiana, on January 25, 1920, he was the son of C.H. and Mary Williams. C.H. worked at Malone and Hyde as a sales manager before becoming the owner of Goobers Grocery Store in Vidor for 20 years. He enjoyed gardening and working with his cattle. C.H. will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 52 years, Grace Claudette Williams; and his wife of 16 years, Maxine Gerland.

C.H. is survived by his children, Dennise White, of Vidor and C.H. Williams, III and wife Tammy, of Spring; step-children, Ronny Kinard and wife Wei Li, of Katy, Kelly Gerland and husband JoNell, of Howton, and Melissa Gerland, of Circleville, OH; grandchildren, Kyle Williams, Kevin Williams and wife Courtney, LuDi Kinard, Natalie Howell and husband Landon, and Tara Keefner and husband Kyle; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Hayden Williams, Ella and Sarah Howell, and Brock, Audrey, and Kaitlyn Keefner; and his sister, Rebecca Hyepock, of Clute.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kyle Williams, Kevin Williams, Jimmy Mercer, Walter Maples, Mac Guillory, and Jerry Caillier.

Charline “Bill” Copes Childress

Charline “Bill” Copes Childress, 67, of Orange, Texas, passed away on December 22, 2016, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.

 

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Dr. John H. Smith. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.

 

Born in Woodville, Texas, on August 1, 1949, Charline was the daughter of Charles Copes and Beatrice (Jackson) Copes. She worked hard as a laborer for Livingston Shipyard for many years. Charline was a faithful member of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of the Senior choir. She in the mission at her church, as well as a prayer warrior for many who needed prayer. Her children say she was the best mother on this side of heaven. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and spent her time calling and praying for people.

 

Charline loved sports. She enjoyed playing softball and making homeruns with the Orange Softball League, as well as being a true fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Charline was a wonderful woman and will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

 

Charline was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Beatrice Copes; sisters, Maxine Wooten and Josephine Gilder; grandchildren, Darrell “PooPoo” Gilbert, Jr., and Christopher Childress; and her daughter, Beatrice Childress.

 

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Alvin P. Childress, Sr.; children, Alvin P. Childress, Jr. (Vivian), of Lake Charles, Beola Childress, of Houston, Oscar Telford III, of Lake Charles, Jerry Telford, of Orange, Shironda Jackson (Byron), of Orange, Vanessa Telford, of Orange, Ricky Childress, of Orange, and Temetra Adams (Elliott), also of Orange; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Joe Copes, Herbert Copes, and Wanda Simmons, all of Woodville.

 

Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Budwine, Van Jenkins, Rogers Winbush, Derek Ruffin, Jr., Elijah Guillory, and Andre Jones.

Julie Lee Hall, 47, of Orange, Texas, passed away on December 22, 2016, in Beaumont, Texas.

Born in Orange, Texas, on February 18, 1969, she was the daughter of Kenith Kelly and Carole Spence. Julie was a very devoted and loving mother who will be missed dearly. 

She was preceded in death by her father; her husband, Kenneth Hall; and her brother-in-law, Clifton Hall.

Julie is survived by her mother; sons, Kyle and Randy Hall, of Orange; and numerous other family members.

Bernice Mathews Riling, 81, of Orange, Texas, passed away on December 27, 2016.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2016, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend David Turner. Burial will follow at Houston National Cemetery.

Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Born in Smithers, West Virginia, on July 9, 1935, Bernice was the daughter of Samuel and Minnie Mathews. She was a member of Little Cypress Baptist Church since 1978, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. Bernice enjoyed spending time with her family, especially back in West Virginia. “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sisters, Doris Petry and Norma Smith. 

She is survived by her loving husband, John Riling, of Orange; son, Scott Riling, of Houston; grandchildren, Sophie Rosetsky and husband Rodrigo, Morgan Riling, Matthew Riling, and Chloe Riling; and her brothers, Delph and Delbert Mathews.

Kathy Lynn Hoffpauir, 51, of Mauriceville, Texas, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family, after her battle with cancer.  Funeral services, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home, will be held at Dorman Funeral Home on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at 11:00 AM, with Nita Schnitzer and Melissa Brewer officiating; Rite of Committal and Interment will immediately follow funeral services at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park.  Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016, from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Dorman Funeral Home.  
 
Kathy was born in Orange, Texas, on September 5, 1965, to Mary Ella (Carlisle) and C.J. Cornelius Hoffpauir, Jr.  She was a loving aunt and sister, who spent her life raising her nieces and nephews, and taking care of her sister, Judy, and brother-in-law, Mike.  Kathy was born with Down Syndrome, but nothing stopped her from succeeding in everything she did, including graduated from Little Cypress Mauriceville High School, at the age of 18.  She loved dancing, reading, watching her soap operas, and being with her family.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jimmy Reno; brother-in-law, Joe Gehring; and nieces, Monica Runnels, Ashley Christian-Runnels, Melissa Reno, and Shawn Gehring.
 
Kathy is survived by her loving sister, Judy and brother-in-law, Michael Runnels, of Mauriceville, Texas; nieces, Latisha Runnels of Mauriceville, Texas, Mandy Smith of Beaumont, Texas; nephew, Michael Runnels, Jr. of Mauriceville, Texas; great-nephews, Coby Runnels, Tylor Smith, Jakob Smith, and Kyler Huff; great-nieces, Christa Bemis, Kylie Huff, and Katelyn Runnels. Sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Joey Guillot, of Mauriceville, Texas, sister, June Gehring of Magnolia, Texas, sister, Ann and brother-in-law, Bill Windsor, of Livingston, Texas; brothers, Donald Reno of Hempstead, Texas, and Denny Hoffpauir, of Houston, Texas; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mildred Maxine “Granny” Morgan, 97, of Orange, Texas, passed away on December 29, 2016, at her home surrounded by loved ones.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 30, 2016, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Brother Keith Meyer, of Old First Orange Baptist Church. Burial will be follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Born in Nowata, Oklahoma, on August 15, 1919, she was the daughter of Frank and Stella Myers. Mildred was a member of Old First Orange Baptist Church and The Eastern Star. She loved gardening and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, John A. Morgan; son, Virgil Morgan; daughter-in-law, Betty Morgan; and grandson, Keith Morgan.

She is survived by her son, Bruce Arlo Morgan; daughter-in- law, Betty Morgan; grandchildren, Sheryl and James Bubba Parker, Donna Strickland, and Art and Lori Morgan; great-grandchildren, Heather, Hannah, Stormy, Rainy, Brody, and Karlie; and her great-great- grandchildren, Addison and Kinley.

Serving as pallbearers will be Art Morgan, Brody Morgan, Bubba Parker, Jack Holcomb, and Michael Camp.

Virginia G. Marshall, age 64, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016 in Orange, Texas. Virginia was born on August 30, 1952 in Orange, Texas to Shirley Coggins Roberson and Thomas Roberson and was a life-long resident of Orange, Texas. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. She was a member of The Cowboy Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her three sisters; Scherry Becker of Orange, TX, Donna Bryant and her husband Donnie of Orange, TX and Regina Dragulski and her husband Gene of Hemphill, TX. AS well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Herbert Hodge “Hodgie” Bennett, III

Herbert Hodge “Hodgie” Bennett, III, 55, of Deweyville, Texas, entered into Heaven on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital, in Beaumont, Texas. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.
 
Hodgie was born on Saturday, October 7, 1961, in Orange, Texas, to parents Irma (Longron) Bennett and Herbert Hodge Bennett, II., and remained a resident of the golden triangle until his passing.  He was a Christian man of the Full Gospel Faith and was a former member of the Texas State Guard.  Hodgie loved his family dearly and kept a very special place in his heart, for his mother.  He also loved spending time at home with his dog, Shoney. Some of the most memorable times Hodgie had with his mother, are when they were able to enjoy morning coffee together and when he was able to enjoy a bowl of her famous gumbo.  On game day, Hodgie could be found cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.  He also loved spending time outside grilling and fishing, and playing games on his xbox.  Hodgie was a man who loved his family and will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Hodge Bennett, II.
Hodgie is survived by his most favorite person and mother, Irma Ziriax and her husband, who Hodgie called his dad, Lee, of Deweyville, Texas; sisters, Shirley Bennett Foreman and her husband, Ralph, of Vinton, Louisiana, and Cristy Scarbrough and her husband, Ed, of Mauriceville, Texas; brother, Bret Bowman and his wife, Tawnya, of Deweyville, Texas; nieces, Kathleen Butcher and Kayla Viator; nephews, Ricky Reeves, Michael Foreman, Brandon Butcher, Tyler Neely, Mikey Neely, and Jody Viator; and 2 great-nieces, 5 great-nephews, and numerous cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
Honoring Hodgie as Pallbearers are Ricky Reeves, Michael Foreman, Brandon Butcher, Tyler Neely, Mikey Neely, and Jody Viator. 
A memorial service, to celebrate Hodgie’s life, will be held at Maranatha Christian Center on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at 3:00 PM.  Visitation will be held prior to the memorial service from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM.

Mary S. Pendleton

             Mary S. Pendleton, passed into eternity on Saturday 24 December 2016, just 3 days after her 95th birthday.  She is now reunited with her husband Norman L. Pendleton, her mother Mabel Hartley Sunderland, her father Fred Sunderland and her sister Nellie Davis.  Mary, Norman and son Anthony arrived in Orange in mid June 1954 after arriving in America as immigrants from Lancashire England.     

            Mary was born in Todmorden, Lancashire England on 21 December 1921 to Fred and Mabel Sunderland.  She met the love of her life Norman L Pendleton in 1939.  Norman departed for military service with the British Royal Artillery a few months later.  After completion of his training and his assignment at his first duty location Mary and Norman became engaged and subsequently married on 12 July 1941.

            Mary’s sister Nellie had come to America as the bride of a U.S. service man in 1946.  On a return visit to England in the summer of 1952, she had encouraged her sister and husband to come to America.  Finally, in late 1953 the Pendleton family began the process of emigrating to what was to be their new home in Texas.  The move actually began in May of 1954 with a final arrival in mid June 1954.

            Mary retired from DuPont in March 1985 after 25 years of service.  She was a devoted mother, wife and friend.  She was also a devoted Christian of the Baptist faith.  She is survived by her son Anthony, daughter in law Kyniem, grandson Cullen, granddaughter Ramy, 7 great grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, and a favorite nephew, Rodney Davis and his wife Janene. 

            In accordance with her wishes, a private family viewing and gravesite ceremony was held on the morning of Wednesday, 28 December 2016.  Mary had a great sense of humor, and her loyalty to her friends and family will be greatly missed.

Audrey Mae McDonald, 79, of Orange, Texas, passed away on December 29, 2016, in Orange.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 31, 2016, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Joseph P. Daleo. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 9:00 a.m., at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Kaplan, Louisiana, on March 28, 1937, she was the daughter of Jesse and Annie Mae Bonin. Audrey was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She worked for the PTA at Little Cypress ISD and volunteered at the Lutcher Theater, as well as having been a switchboard operator at Gulf States for 20 years. Audrey enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Harold McDonald; her children, Marianne McDonald, of Orange and Stace McDonald, of New Orleans; grandchildren, Peyton and Karli Choate, of Orange; and her siblings, Jesse Roy Bonin and wife Donna and twin sister Flaudry Plant, both of Orange.

Serving as pallbearers will be Peyton Choate, Clint Plant, Brooks Bonin, Cody Plant, John Davis, and Robert Lovelace.

Margaret Ellen Broussard, 70, of Orange, died Friday, December 30, 2016. She was born on November 13, 1946, in Lufkin, to Marianne Lee Ginter Broussard and Ray Broussard. Margaret was a retired coach and art teacher for West Orange-Cove Consolidated Independent School District.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Broussard, of Houston; nephew, Jon Broussard, and his wife Jenny, of Katy; great-niece, Juliette Broussard; special friends, Kathy Fuqua and Ramona Halten; and numerous cousins.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Carol Broussard and Anne Broussard.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Pearl Helms and Kay Bray of Southeast Texas Hospice for their care of Margaret.

A gathering of Ms. Broussard’s family and friends will be 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 2, 2016, with a Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m., at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2016, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 912 W Cherry Avenue, Orange. A graveside service will be 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2016, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

William F. Moore

William F. Moore, 72, of Orange, Texas, passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, December 31, 2016.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.
 
 
William was born on Tuesday, September 5, 1944, in Bessie Mae, Texas, to the late Iris Pauline (Coleson) and John Henry Moore.  He was a lifelong resident of Orange, Texas, where he lived with his wife of 50 years, Avie J. Moore.  William was a hardworking man who spent 40 years working as a welder, with American Bridge and Orange Ship Building.  When he wasn’t working, William loved to fish, hunt rabbit, and frogging.  He also enjoyed spending time on the river and going camping.  July 4th and New Years were always special; William loved fireworks, especially artillery shells.  William loved his family and enjoyed the times he was able to see his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  He was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who will be missed by all who knew him.
 
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Iris and John Moore; and his 5 brothers.


 
William is survived by his loving wife, Avie J. Moore; daughters, Sharon Moore, Michele Butcher, and Bridget Gordon; half-sister, Marilyn Neece; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and many members of his extended family, who loved him dearly.

Robert Lee Luksic, 78, of Saint Gabriel, Louisiana, passed away on December 29, 2016, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange, Texas. Officiating will be Pastor Joseph Howlett, of Grace Lutheran Church.

Born in Joliet, Illinois, on September 15, 1938, he was the son of Ignatuis and Freida Luksic. Robert was a veteran of the United States Air Force and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Carl and Ryland Luksic.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Luksic; daughter, Heidi Luksic Hyder and husband Chris, of Orange; grandson, Chase Comeaux and wife Amber; granddaughter, Baylie Comeaux; and great-grandchildren, Lela and Lilly Comeaux.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chase Comeaux, Ryen Llewellyn, Chris Hyder, Danny Wells, and Baylie Comeaux.

JoAnn Ousley Kibodeaux

JoAnn Ousley Kibodeaux, 76, of Orange, Texas, went to be with her Heavenly Father on January 1, 2017, in Port Arthur, Texas. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 5, 2017, at St. Helen Catholic Church in Orangefield. Officiating will be Reverend Joseph P. Daleo. Burial will follow at Jett Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a rosary at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Orange, Texas, on July 30, 1940, she was the daughter of Claude and Gladys Maud Ousley. JoAnn was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church where she started the Altar Society and was head of the Prayer Chain Committee. She enjoyed music, playing the piano, and singing. JoAnn loved her children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Sidney Lee Kibodeaux; her son, Sidney Kibodeaux, Jr.; and her sister, Linda McGuire.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Gary Kibodeaux, of Orangefield, Lesa Riley and husband Patrick, of Little Cypress, Robert Kibodeaux and wife Loretta, of Pine Forest, and Dona Rach and husband Gerald, of McLewis; grandchildren, Kim Vogt and husband Jarrod, Justin Riley, Jared Hutchison and wife Sarai, Jennifer Kibodeaux, and Lane Rach; great-grandchildren, Shelby Vogt, Jacob Vogt, and Colton Hutchison; and her brother, Tim Ousley and his wife Paula.

Ernestine M. Fuselier, 91, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 2, 2017, in Vidor, Texas.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, Texas. Officiating will be Sister Ruth Burch. Burial will follow at Mary Williams Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

 

Born in Orange County, Texas, on May 6, 1925, she was the daughter of Jim and Eva Scales. Ernestine was born and raised in Orangefield and was a member of Harvest Chapel. She worked at Walmart in Bridge City for 30 years. She was the last sibling of the Scales family and was very instrumental in the writing of a book about the Scales family in Orangefield. Ernestine loved her family, music, and knew how to play many different instruments. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Joseph Fuselier; daughter, Debbie Fuselier Forker; and her great-grandsons, Darrick Brantley and Caden Gilmore.

 

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Janie Goins and her families, Tony and Judy Langham and families, John and Nan Knoden and families, Randy and Angela Fuselier and families, and Bo and Candy McCreight and family.

 

Serving as pallbearers will be Brad Fuselier, Steve Fuselier, Tre’ Fuselier, Chris Johnson, Jay Boyle, Jason Forker, Jody Forker, and Cameron Duhon. Honorary pallbearers are Harold Scales and Chase Gladden.

Ruthie Lee Hasley, 89, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at The Meadows of Orange, TX.   Ruthie was born on February 9, 1927 in Silsbee, TX to Henry and Alberta Wilson.  She moved to Orange, TX and was united in marriage to Penny Hasley who preceded her in death.   Ruthie was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church and she loved fishing and making and painting ceramics.   Ruthie leaves to cherish her precious memory her two sons, Willie C. Donald Wayne Cole, 63, of Orange, passed away on January 3, 2017.

 

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 7, 2017, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Steven Leger. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

 

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary held at 6 p.m., Friday, at the Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

 

Born in Pensacola, Florida, on March 13, 1953, he was the son of Donald E. Cole and Alice (King) Cole. Donald was a Lifetime Little League and select softball coach. He was the President of the Bridge City Little League and a member of the Bridge City Volunteer Fire Department. He was the owner of Wayne’s Plumbing and a member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church. Donald will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

 

He is survived by his parents; his spouse, Diana Cole; his children, Kristi Bourque and her husband Chad, Lori Runnels and her husband Jason, Jonathan Cole and his wife Kristi, Katina Schrieber and her husband Brad, and Misty Fredeck and her husband Shane; his grandchildren, Hunter Schrieber and his wife Kassie, Kyndal Runnels, Brianna Fredeck, Tyler Runnels, Shay Fredeck, Olivia Bourque, Kapri Fredeck, Emma Bourque, and Bella Fredeck; his great-grandchild, Bennett Schrieber; his brother, Michael Cole and his wife Judy; and his sisters, Angela Hebert and Mary Alice Hartsfield.

 

Serving as pallbearers will be Clint Hartsfield, Mark Prevost, Tommy Reynolds, Cody Corkran, Hunter Schrieber, and Jerry McInnis.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to assist with final expenses can be made to the Donald Cole Memorial Fund at Five Point Credit Union, 715 Texas Ave. #A, Bridge City, TX, 77611.

Johnny “Red” Boozer, 82, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 4, 2017, in Beaumont, Texas.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2017, at McClelland Church Cemetery in Shelby County, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Larry Askew.

Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Shelby County, Texas, on July 7, 1934, he was the son of Weldon and Alice Boozer. Red worked as a boilermaker for Boilermakers Local 587. He was a loving and wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Thurman Boozer.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Merline Boozer; children, Mike Boozer and wife Patricia, Leisha Cassidy and husband Jimmy, Harold Boozer and wife Brenda, and John Boozer; grandchildren, Michael Boozer, Jr. and wife, Colleen, Jennifer VanWright, Monica Johnson and husband, Kovan, Kyle Cassidy and wife, Tera, Amanda Istre, Chris Boozer and wife, Haley, and Leanne Fuselier and husband, Bryant; along with 10 great-grandchildren.

Jesse was born December 10, 1922 in Port Arthur, TX, to Albert Sidney Rambo and Mary
Elizabeth Gault, and passed on January 3, 2017, in Nacogdoches, TX.
He is preceded in death by son, Allen Rambo, and grandson, Jason Rambo, and is survived by
his angel and love of his life, B. Louise McDuffie of Nacogdoches, TX. He is survived by his
daughters, Linda Walker and husband, Richard, of Hot Springs Village, AR, and Carolyn Rambo
of Fort Worth, TX, son, Jesse, Jr. and wife, Brenda, of Stroudsburg, PA, grandchildren, Shawn
Walker and wife, Katrina, of Sanford, NC, Samantha Ressa of Houston, TX, Patti Landry of
Lake Charles, LA, Katie Jennings and husband, Shane, of Winchester, KY, Charleen Thibodeaux
of Bridge City, TX, Keri Kinyon and husband, Aaron, of Strasburg, CO, Jennifer Raggio and
husband, Cory of Bridge City, TX, Cory Rambo and wife, Aleena of Orange, TX, Brittney
Whitfill and husband, Chad, of Dickinson, TX, and 16 great grandchildren.
Jesse graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, Port Arthur, TX, and was a member of the
school’s National Honor Society. He attended Texas A&M and Lamar Universities.
During World War II, he worked at Consolidated Vultee Aircraft in Ft. Worth, TX, building
aircraft to support the USA war efforts. Jesse retired from E.I. DuPont in Orange, TX, with over
32 years service as a Mechanical Foreman.
He was a very accomplished water skier, once placing 8th place in trick skiing in a ski
tournament of the National Water Ski Association; Jesse served as a National and International
Judge for many years. Throughout his life, he served as a water ski instructor and participated in
many local, regional and national ski shows.
Jesse was a life-long member, over 70 years, of the Masonic Lodge, serving as Worshipful
Master of the DeWitt Lodge in Jasper, helping establish the Bridge City Lodge as one of its
Charter Members, and serving as a member in the Masonic Lodges of Bridge City, Jasper,
Burkeville & Beaumont. He also served as a member of the Shriners, York Rites and Scottish
Rites.

Lucy Ann Casey, 67, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on January 4, 2017, at Southeast Texas Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her fathers, L.J. Istre and Felix R. Hebert; brother, Eddie Dean Istre; and her father-in-law, Charles E. Casey.
She is survived by her loving husband, Glenn C. Casey; mother, Nettie L. Hebert; sons, Nathan W. Casey and Charles Casey; brother, Felix C. Hebert and Keith Istre; sisters, Debbie Istre Guillot, Louise Hebert, Rosemary McClannahan, and Kathy Istre Roy; grandchildren, Brittany Casey, Brandon Casey, and Tamra Casey; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Cremation is under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Lucy Casey at 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
