Tina Sue Faul, 53, of Orange, Texas, passed away on December 25, 2017, in Beaumont, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, Texas. Officiating will be Pastor Flipper Doolittle, of Outlaw Bible Church. Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Born in Orange, Texas, on April 24, 1964, she was the daughter of Joe and Eunice Faul. Tina was a down to earth, free spirited woman who enjoyed crawfish boils, gumbo cooking, crabbing, and going to the beach. She loved the Texans as much as she hated the Cowboys, was obsessed with Bob Seger, thought tattoos were meaningful, never judged anyone, and would give her very last dollar if it would help someone out. She was very loyal and dedicated to her family and friends, loved everyone she met, and left memories anywhere she went. Tina was a true blue coonass full of the love of Jesus. She will be deeply missed by everyone who had the chance to know and love her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Eunice Faul; and her loving husband, Robert Mountcastle.

She is survived by her children, Rebecca Estay Weaver, Shannon Estay, and Edward Estay; siblings, LoRita Cooper, Robert McFerrin, Judy Long Bohler, and Jaylyn Feldman; God-daughter, Amanda Rogers; and many nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Glenn Jeter, Frank Carpenter, JC “Pops” Richmond, Rory Gross, Tim Lott, and Robert McFerrin.

Robert Louis Judice, 80, of Broaddus, Texas, passed away on December 27, 2017, in Lufkin, Texas.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange with Pastor David Waggoner officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

 

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

 

Born in Orange, Texas, on September 1, 1937, he was the son of Vivian Judice and Tyrell (Bunch) Judice. He had a great sense of humor, was witty, clever, and loved telling stories. Robert enjoyed spending his spare time gardening, oil painting, wood carving, and being outdoors. He was an artist and loved drawing cartoons and reading comic strips. He enjoyed attending church and reading, especially his bible. Robert loved his family and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vivian and Tyrell Judice; wife, Joyce Ann Judice; son, Robert L. Judice, Jr.; and his grandson, Stephen Tomplait.

 

He is survived by his loving wife, Oda Hudgins Judice; daughters, Cindy Land and husband Bo and Suzanne Bell and husband Matt; step-sons, Mike Tomplait and Randy Tomplait and wife Pam; grandchildren, Heather and Joe Bateman, Josh Bland and Jessica Jolly, Morgan, Jaci, Maddy, and Conner Land, Sabra and Kierstin Johnson, Angie Tomplait, Alicia Jones, Ginger Matte, Cade Tomplait, and Cody Tomplait; and his 16 great-grandchildren.

 

Serving as pallbearers will be Sammy Kirbow, Donny Carbough, A. W. King, Billy Resch, James Crump, and Josh Bland. Honorary pallbearer is Pat Carlin.

Doris Lambert

Funeral Services for Doris Lambert, 78, a Hereford resident will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Temple Baptist Church with Jim Walkins and Bob Fulkerson, pastor, officiating.  Interment will be at West Park Cemetery at a later date.  Arrangements are under the personal supervision of Parkside Chapel Funeral Home.  Mrs. Lambert passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 in Amarillo, Texas.

 

Doris Marie Beck was born November 11, 1939 to James Wiley and Gladys Pearl Dunbar Beck in Jennings, Louisiana.  She graduated High School in Vinton, Louisiana and attended McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana.  Doris met and fell in love with J.C. Lambert and later married on September 25, 1976 in Orange, Texas.  They moved to Hereford in 1978. She worked as a secretary for a several businesses, including Parkside Chapel Funeral home and a teller at a bank. Doris was an active member of Temple Baptist Church and loved her family and church family, and was always there to help anyone in need.  Doris will be forever remembered for her loving kindness and her great conversations.

 

Those who are left to cherish her memory are one son, Steven Tal Hargis and wife Mary of Saudi Arabia; two daughters, Valerie Delano from Orange, Texas and Maggie Maldonado of Hereford; six grandchildren, Joshua, Randi, Rhianon, Brittany, Tory, and Zac; and three great-grandchildren, Matthew, William, and Joy.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Stanley Max Jobe

A celebration of life for Stanley Max Jobe was held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017, at the Covenant Presbyterian Church in College Station, Texas with Pastors Jonathan Murry and George Klett officiating.  Burial followed at Oakland Cemetery in Roans Prairie, Texas.  Max died on Friday, Dec. 15 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan, Texas.  Visitation preceded the funeral service. 
 
Stanley Max Jobe was born January 29, 1939, in Corinth, Mississippi to the late Edward Stanley and Reba Wesson Jobe.  He grew up in Orange, Texas, received his BS from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas and his MA from North Texas University in Denton, Texas.  He had a 44 year career in the field of education as a teacher and administrator.  Max accepted Christ as his personal savior at North Orange Baptist Church and continued to live his life in Christian service.  He had three loves: his Lord, his wife and family, and his land he farmed.
 
Max leaves behind his wife of 51 years Jill Carmichael Smith Jobe, his three daughters Cathy (Clayton) Schmidtke of College Station, Texas, Chrissy (Chris) May of Roans Prairie, Texas and  Carrie (Rick) Howe of College Station, Texas, his grandchildren David Schmidtke, Caty Schmidtke, Amanda May, Ashlyn May, Daniel Howe, James Howe, his two sisters Kay (Charles) Box of Columbus, Mississippi and Judy Jobe of Pearland, Texas and his nephews and nieces.

Debbie Marie Pollard, age 61, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Services, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home, will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at the Cowboy Church, in Orange, Texas with Pastor Wanda Lane officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Autumn Oaks Cemetery, in Orange, Texas. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at the Cowboy Church in Orange, Texas.

Debbie was born on Wednesday, December 12, 1956, on Groves, Texas to Betty (Bertrand) and Jessie Bendo. Debbie found the love of her life when she met Darrell Polland. They were married in 1979 and spent 39 blissful years together. Within those 39 years, Debbie and Darrell had three beautiful daughter’s together, whom just added to their love and happiness. She had been a lifelong resident of Bridge City, Texas and made a living working in the cafeteria system for Orangefield, Texas. While working there, she would often see her grandchildren who were just as elated to see her as she was them. Debbie also always made sure the kids had plenty of lunch money in their accounts.  She loved all the lunch ladies she worked with, as they were like family to her. No matter where she was employed, Debbie always worked in the school system or day cares. One of her very favorite things to do was to play bingo. She loved it so much, it got there where she was going to play 7 days a week. Her best friend, Mellissa, was her reliable bingo partner at all times. They went to play together so often that people often thought they were mother and daughter. When Debbie and her husband Darrell traveled places, he was always on the lookout for her a bingo hall. It’s safe to say it was one of  her favorite past times. Debbie also enjoyed gardening, taking trips out in the boat while at the beach, camping and sleeping in the tent, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all the rest of her family, while making many wonderful, irreplaceable memories. It was witnessed many times that Debbie indeed did have a green thumb that could grow anything and had even been known to bring plants back from a point beyond revival. She never missed a ball game or sporting event that her grandchildren or great grandchildren participated in. She was the true defintion of, “number one fan”. Debbie was the greatest mom, grandmother and great grandmother and her memory will live on forever through all of her loved ones.  

Debbie is preceded in death by her Parents, Betty (Bertrand) and Jessie Bendo and Nephew, Jessie Johnson.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 39 years, Darrell Polland; children, Jennifer Pollard of Orange, Texas, Jamie Lorenzo and husband, Pedro of Orangefield, Texas and Tiffany Reyes and husband, Luis of Orangefield, Texas; sisters, Janet Johnson and husband Paul of Orangefield, Texas, Cookie Evans and husband Terry of Orangefield, Texas and BooBoo Milligan and husband Donald of Bridge City, Texas as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers honoring Debbie; Michael Evans, J.R. Johnson, Brent Milligan, Melvin Bendo, Diego Reyes and Hunter Evans.

Joyce Ann Kachtik

Joyce Ann Kachtik, age 82, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Services, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home, will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 31, 2017, at the Calvary Baptist Church, in Deweyville, Texas with Pastor John Fortenberry officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Kachtik Family Cemetery, in Orange, Texas. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, December 30, 2017, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Calvary Baptist Church in Deweyville, Texas.

Joyce was born on Sunday, August 11, 1935, in Rio Hondo, Texas to Grace (Hull) and Clarence Taubert. Joyce found the love of her life when she met Don Kachtik while he was playing football for Texas aTm. They were married on August 7, 1954 and spent 66 blissful years together. Within those 66 years, Joyce and Don had a son, Wade Kachtik and a daughter, Karen Kachtik. The Kachtik family had been a long time residents of Orange, Texas having moved from Edenburg, Texas in 1965. Joyce made a living for many years working as a secretary for the LCM ISD School System in Orange, Texas. Joyce was a long time 4-H Club Leader that was looked up to by many people. She loved to go fishing, spending time in her garden and playing tournament tennis. One year, Joyce was awarded the, East Texas Homemaker of the year, award and was very proud to receive such an honor. She was also a proud member of the Rose Society. Joyce and her husband Don were known all around the Golden Triangle and surrounding areas for the outstanding Christmas Tree Farm that they owned and operated along with their children and grandchildren for a wonderful and unforgettable 40 years. “K & K Tree Farm” located off of Highway 87 in Orange, Texas was said to be one of the very best tree farms in the Southeast Texas region that also served the most delicious Hot Apple Cider people have ever drank. The cider was Joyce’s top secret recipe that she refused to share with even her own family. Joyce was of the Baptist Religion and was a proud, long time member of Calvary Baptist Church in Deweyville, Texas.

Joyce is preceded in death by her Parents, Grace (Hull) and Clarence Taubert and brother, Holland Taubert.

Joyce is survived by her Husband of 66 years, Don Kachtik; Children, Karen Kachtik and husband Richard Gahner of Orange, Texas and Wade Kachtik and wife Stefanie or Orange, Texas; Sister, Laverne Coon and husband Tom Howerth of Live Oak, Floria; Grandchildren, Alex Newton and husband Nick, Kane Kachtik and wife Krista; Great-Grandchildren, Grace Newton, Jett Newton, Kash Newton, Ryder Strickland, Colt Kachtik and Saylor Kachtik.

Viva Lee (Anderson) Spurlock, 81, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017, in Orange, Texas.  Funeral arrangements will be held at 2:00 PM, on Sunday, December 31, 2017, at Dorman Funeral Home; Chaplin Michael Anderson of Heart to Heart Hospice officiating.  Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Jett Cemetery.  Visitation of family and friends will be held prior from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 31, 2017, at Dorman Funeral Home.

 

Viva Lee was born on Sunday, December 6, 1936, in Orange, Texas, to parents Mazie Helene Cole and Jessie Anderson.  She was a lifelong resident of Orange, Texas, where she enjoyed living on her houseboat, with her husband, Clyde Spurlock.  Viva Lee loved animals, especially the turtles that lived close to her houseboat, and enjoyed spending time fishing.  She is a woman who was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

 

Preceding Viva Lee in death are her parents; husband, Clyde Spurlock; sister, Thelma Jo Flanigan; and brothers, Bobby Gene Anderson, LJ Anderson, and Floyd Lee Anderson.

 

Those who will cherish her memory most is her brother, Daniel E. Anderson and his wife, Brenda, of Orange, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Keith Payne Carter, Sr., 54, of Orange, Texas, passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, December 30, 2017.  Funeral service, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home, will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 5, 2018, at the North Orange Pentecostal Church; Preacher Jeff Trahan of the Memorial Church of Christ will be officiating.  Rite of Committal and Interment will immediately follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park.  Visitation of family and friends will be held on from 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM, at the North Orange Pentecostal Church, on Thursday, January 4, 2018.

 

Keith was born on Saturday, December 21, 1963, in Norfolk, Virginia, to parents Patsy (Payne) and Woodrow Carter, Sr.  During his childhood, Keith enjoyed traveling with his family.  As an adult, Keith settled in Orange, Texas, where he met his wife, love of his life of 15 years, Brandi (Burgess) Carter; together they raised three beautiful daughters.  Keith worked as a Special Projects Coordinator for BASF, for over 13 years.  He was very talented with technology and especially enjoyed working with, and restoring, computers.  Keith was a husband, son, father, and grandfather, who will be missed by all who knew him.

 

Preceding Keith in death is his father, Woodrow Carter, Sr.

Margaret was born on June 3, 1967, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to parents Rosabelle (Marcantel) and Hilton Blanchard.  She was a Christian woman of the Catholic faith and had been a resident of Orange, Texas, for most of her adult life.  Margaret was known for being a loving woman with a big heart, but most importantly was known for the being the “best Mimi ever”!  She enjoyed the times she was able to spend with family, and when she could hunt, and fish, with her loving husband, David Smith.  Margaret was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, who will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceding Margaret in death are her parents, Hilton and Rosabelle Blanchard.

Margaret is survived by her husband of three years, David Smith, of Orange, Texas; daughter, Lana Murphy and husband, Blake, of Bridge City, Texas; sons, Jake Christian and wife, Elizabeth, of McKinney, Texas, Eric Christian, Jr. and wife, Jessica, of McKinney, Texas; brother, Randy Blanchard; sisters, Tammy Landry, Sue Achten, Cassie Savoie, Dot Vogel, and Salley Murphy; grandchildren, Jake Christian, Jr., Gage Christian, Cheyenne Christian, Peyton Murphy, Maddox Murphy, Hannah Murphy, and Landry Christian; godchild, Hunter Blanchard; and numerous members of extended family and friends.

Audrey Mary Reves, 88, resident of Orange, Texas since 1948 and native of Houma, Louisiana, born on April 24, 1929, died January 1, 2018, at 8:22 a.m.

 

Mrs. Reves is survived by her son, James D. Reves and wife Christy, of Orange; daughter, Billie Kay Melanson and husband Joe; grandchildren, Clint Reves and wife Holly, Tyler Reves, Kelly Hennigan, and Sally Pope; and her great-grandchildren, Adam Pope, Jr., Max Reves, Mason Reves, and Chip Reves;

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred J. Buquet and Lucretia Lirette Buquet; husband, Billy C. Reves; son, Richard W. Reves; granddaughter, Christine Reves; and her siblings, Fred J. Buquet, Jr., Elsie Anderson, J.B. Buquet, Betty Bergeron, and Ethel Fenwick.

 

Mrs. Reves retired in 1984 from the West Orange Cove Independent School District where she taught Vocational Drafting for a number of years. She graduated from Terrebonne High School in 1945 and received her Teaching Certification Courses at Texas A&M and Lamar University in 1971. She was a Certified Texas Teacher, a Certified Senior Engineering Technician, An Independent Certified Architectural Designer\Draftsman, and in her earlier years she was a Manager/Operator for Western Union, a Nurse’s Aide, and a Sales Clerk.

 

Audrey is a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Past church activities include serving as a lector, a member of the auditing committee, and Assistant Principal of the CCD program in 1975.

 

She was elected by the Orange Business and Professional Women Organization in 1972 as a recipient of the Woman of the Year Award for her contribution to the community. Some of her past affiliations with community organizations include serving as Secretary for the SRW DuPont Retirees Organization; Member of the Texas Retired Teachers Local and State Organization; Treasurer and President Elect for the West Orange Cove Classroom Teachers Association; President Bancroft PTA; Secretary, Orange County Junior Football League; Charter Member and Secretary of the Twin County Little League Association; Member of the Porcelain Art Association and the Rainbow Art Group; Advisor for the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America; and a retired member of the National Institute for the Certification of Engineering Technicians.

 

Audrey’s life was honored by a private family memorial service under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Kelly “Bubba” Lee Kirkpatrick

Kelly “Bubba” Lee Kirkpatrick, 30, of Orange, Texas, passed away on December 31, 2017, in Tyler, Texas.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

 

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

 

Born in Orange, Texas, on June 7, 1987, he was the son of Donald Black, Ella (Kirkpatrick) Stevens and husband Ellis “Buddy” Stevens. Bubba worked as prison guard and point man at Styles Unit. He was a certified Master Mechanic, former owner of Foreman’s Radiator, and later worked for CB&I. He loved fast cars, loud trucks, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. Bubba was a very goodhearted, down to earth man who loved to help others. He enjoyed making people laugh and was dearly loved by everyone. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Black; grandmother, George Anne Chesson Kay; great-great-grandmother, Mary Kirkpatrick; and his uncle, Ralph Kirkpatrick.

 

Bubba is survived by his loving wife, Allison “Allie” Kirkpatrick; parents, Ella and Ellis “Buddy” Stevens, of Orange; grandparents, Gloria Hollingsworth, of Waco, Clifton Fuller Kirkpatrick and Bonnie Kirkpatrick, of Tyler; daughters, Sable Bradley and Zoe Robinson, of Ohio; sister, Mary Ellen Santos-Matute, of Orange; and his niece and nephews, Shayla Santos, Juan “Junior” Santos, Skylar Santos, and Cade Stevens.

 

Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Granger, Robert Holye, Jarret Tarver, Cameron Cook, Danny Walker, and Charlie Brown.

 

In lieu of flowers, there is a Go Fund Me page set up for funeral expenses where memorial contributions can be made.

Henry Lee Willey, Jr., 89, of Mauriceville, Texas., went home to be with his lord and savior on Monday, January 1, 2018 at his home in Mauriceville. Henry Lee was born in Mauriceville on May 30, 1928 to the late, Henry Lee Willey, Sr. and Lola Wilkinson Willey.

 

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 68 years, Lamurel Raymond Willey; sons, Hershal Willey and wife, Rhonda of Mauriceville, John Willey and wife, Pam of Orangefield, Kevin Willey and wife, Cary of Silsbee and Jeremy Willey of Mauriceville; daughters, Carolynette Kolb of Mauriceville and Nelwynn Welsh and her husband, Kenneth of Mauriceville; sister, Leola Bond of New Braunfels; brother, Tommy Willey of Panama City Beach, FL; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

 

A gathering of family and friends will be held at First Baptist Church Mauriceville on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, Texas., also on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 2:30 p.m.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on March 22, 1956, he was the son of Wilbert Doucet and Jimmie (Weeks) Doucet. Jesse was a man that adored his wife and children. Gail, Megan, and Blaed were his world. For those that were lucky enough to be in his extended family were always entertained by his sense of humor and his witty sayings. His two grandsons, Dacius and Laiten were the light of his life and each of those two boys brought limitless joy to his life. Jesse was always the life of a party and he will be missed by his many friends. Anyone that was lucky enough to be invited over for one of his meals would realize that he loved to cook. Jesse found so much peace and joy on his beach visits, he loved the sound of the waves and would go every chance he got. He was a lifetime member of the Orange Boat Club. Even at his age, he thought he was ten feet tall and bulletproof. Jesse was a very kind man that loved to help others.

 

Jesse is survived by his loving wife, Gail (Boullion) Norris; daughters, Megan Lytle and husband Brian, and Victoria Ramos; grandchildren, Dacius Lytle, Laiten Lytle, and Ruby Mullen; Dad, Wilbert Doucet and wife Minnie; and his siblings, Randy Norris and wife Vicki, of Groves, Sandy Brown, of Groves, Dina Doucet, of Allen, Wesley Doucet and wife Gayla, of Beaumont, and Jodi Doucet and wife Melissa, of Mount Belvieu.

 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jimmie Doucet and his father, Claude Norris; son, Blaed Norris; and his brother, Harold Norris.

 

Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Flook, Jeff Braus, Jack Greenwell, Craig Boudreaux, Chris Romano, and Wayne Bradley.

Thomas Leo Hasbrouck, Jr. was born in Silsbee, Texas, on August 28, 1984. He went to be with the Lord on January 2, 2018.

 

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Breaux Family Cemetery in Sour Lake.

 

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Claybar Kelley Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas.

 

Thomas loved going to church and being with family and friends. He worked for the Hardin-Jefferson School District for many years until his diabetes would no longer allow him to do his job. He had a kind gentle soul and will be deeply missed.

 

Thomas is survived by his parents, Tom and Camille Hasbrouck; brothers, Brian Hasbrouck and wife Susan, and Michael Hasbrouck and wife Jeanna; niece, Piper; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

 

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Donald and Mary Hasbrouck and Merlin and Margie Breaux.

Paul James White, 82, of Cedar Park, Texas, passed away on January 2, 2018, in Austin, Texas.

 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, Texas. Officiating will be Mr. Jeremy Fletcher. Burial will follow the service at Antioch Cemetery in Buna, Texas.

 

Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 12:00 p.m.

 

Born in Groves, Texas, on September 9, 1935, he was the son of Jasper White and Agnes Abshire White. Paul worked as an operation supervisor at Texas Chemical.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Agnes White; and his loving wife, Nelda White.

 

He is survived by his children, Rodney Paul White and wife Libby, of Beaumont, James Keith White and wife Trudy, of Bridge City, and Bryan White and wife Elois, of Cedar Park; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Quida Keel and husband Earl, Wayne White and wife Thelma, Luther White and wife Cheryl, Bonnie White and Mark White.

James Milford Seitz

James Milford Seitz, 88, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home after a short battle with cancer.

 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 7, 2018 at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Mark Bunch. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

 

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

 

Born in Texarkana, Texas, on April 29, 1929, James attended Lon Morris Jr. College, traveling with the Lon Morris Quartet and graduated from Sam Houston State University.

 

In 1952 he married the late Ramona Flanders and had 3 children. He taught at Little Cypress High School where he founded a chapter of the Future Farmers of America. He later worked at Firestone/ Bridgestone for 37 years. James was a lifelong Methodist and active in church, serving in various capacities, singing in the choir and presenting programs with his wife Bertie. He had a curious and philosophical intelligence along with a kind and loving heart. He enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, camping, leading tours at Shangri La, taking photographs, gardening, writing and making others laugh from his puns. He enjoyed his family and watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow.

 

James was preceded in death by his wife, Ramona Flanders Seitz; stepson, Kenneth Ross Dudley; grandson, David Wayne Dudley; and brother, Shelby Seitz.

 

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Bertie Cayard Seitz; children, Carol Courtney, Kate and husband Bill Massengale, Don and wife Catalina Seitz; step children, Wayne Dudley and wife Pat, Vicki Dudley, Maribeth Moore and husband Larry; grandchildren, Matthew Moore and wife Holly, Sarah Stutz and husband Troy, and Ashley Cox and husband Brandon; great grandchildren, Hannah, Maggie, Reese, Ella, Carson, Lydia, Kayleigh and Nolan; siblings, Jane Cunningham, Ethel Edwards and John Seitz.

 

Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Moore, Matthew Moore, Wayne Dudley, Don Seitz, Brandon Cox and Troy Stutz. Honorary pallbearers are the United Methodist Men.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ramona Seitz Memorial Library at St. Paul United Methodist Church at 1155 W. Roundbunch Rd, Bridge City, TX 77611.

Christa Fay Provost 63, of Orange, Texas passed away on December 29, 2017 in Beaumont, Texas. Christa was a life long resident of Orange. She was a 1972 graduate of Lutcher Stark High School. Christa was loved by many in the community along with family. Going home celebration will be on Saturday January 6, 2018 at SalemUnited Methodist Church located at 402 W John Avenue in Orange, Texas. Service time is at 11:00 am. Visitation begins at 9:00 am til time of service. Interment will follow at Magnolia Memorial Garden in Orange, Texas. Christa leaves to cherish her precious memories her mother, Louella Black of Orange, Texas. A special friend, Albert Wiltz of Orange, Texas. She also leaves behind a host of family and friends.

Chester A. James III

Chester was born on Monday, February 25, 1935, in Orange, Texas, to Lela Pearl (Depew) and Chester A. James, Jr.  He was married to Peggy (Henderson) on November 28, 1958, and started a family.

 

Chester was a devout Christian man and an active member of Community Church where he served as a board member, ushers, and door greeter.  He also drove the school bus for Community Christian School.

 

He was PROUD to serve in the United States Marine Corp, from 1954 to 1958, in Okinawa, Japan, and South Korea.  He was a hard working man who worked for DuPont and Firestone in Orange, Texas.  Chester moved to Beulah, North Dakota, and helped start up Dakota Gasification Plant.  He later moved to Dumas, Texas, where he worked and retired from Maxius Gas.

 

He loved living in North Dakota where he was able to hunt almost year around.  When he wasn’t hunting, he was refining his golf game.  He and Peggy moved to Dumas, Texas, where he discovered they had pheasant hunt and fell in love again.

 

Chester and Peggy moved back to Orange, Texas, in 1997, after retirement where they built a beautiful home and live today.  He enjoyed gardening and his fruit trees.

 

Preceding Chester in death are his parents and brothers, Baby Vernon and Vernon L. James.

 

Those who will miss him dearly are his wife of 59 years, Peggy James; son, Charles (Chuck) Allen James and wife, Hollye; grandchildren, Corye James and Brittni Ashworth and husband, Aaron; the newest member of the family, Great Grandson Jaxon Bailey Ashworth; Chester’s brother, Samuel L. James, retired USMC, and wife, Susan; sister-in-law, Betty James; Aunt, Geraldine Richardson and husband, Garland; and uncle, Vernon Flavius James, retired USN.

 

His Pride and Joy was his fur baby, little “Rosie”.

Richard Earl Kirkpatrick

Richard Earl Kirkpatrick, age 72 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in Beaumont, Texas. Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 6, 2017 at Family Worship Center, 2300 41st Street Orange, TX 77630 with Pastor Tony Story officiating. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service at the church. Services are under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.

Richard was born in Beaumont, Texas on November 6, 1945 to Freda Earline Gilchrist Kirkpatrick and James Richard Kirkpatrick. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from Big 6 Drilling Company after spending his working career in the oilfield. Richard loved spending time with family and friends fishing and watching old western movies.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Willie Mae Kirkpatrick.

Survivors include his daughter, Stephanie Ann Coleman and her husband Rick of Lake Charles, LA. A brother, Jimmy Carroll Kirkpatrick and his wife Charlotte of Orange, TX and a sister, Iva Jo Hayes and her husband Aubrey of Brandon, MS. He was a wonderful “Pawpaw” to his three grandchildren; Kara Renee Hargrave and her husband Lucas of Orange, TX, Emily Annay Coleman of Beaumont, TX and Dakota Wayne Hall of Silsbee, TX.  Three great grandchildren; Breahna Mae Hargrave, Ezekiel David Hargrave and Dana Michelle Hargrave.
