Cynthia “Cindy” Muriel Cain

Cynthia “Cindy” Muriel Cain, 74, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on January 4, 2018, in Houston, Texas.

 

Born in Louisville, Kentucky on January 23, 1943, she was the daughter of Glenn Miles and Alma Fay (Brockman) Theivagt and step father Sherwood Theivagt. She graduated from Beardstown High School Class of 1961. Cindy worked for the United States Postal Service in Bluff Springs, Illinois for over 20 years after retiring in 2002, she and her husband moved to Texas to be closer to grandchildren and was a faithful member of First Christian Church in Orangefield, Texas. She volunteered her time at the Bridge City/Orangefield Ministerial Alliance as a Client Interviewer. She loved to watch the birds and was always there to take in any stray animal and take care of them. She was an intelligent woman who enjoyed spending her time reading, doing crossword puzzles, and watching television shows, especially Jeopardy. She loved her family very much and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sherwood and Alma Theivagt; father, Glenn Miles; and her brother, Joseph Theivagt.

 

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Mike Cain; daughter, Kim Ezell and husband Kyle, of Bridge City; grandchildren, Benjamin Ezell and Kaitlyn Calhoun and husband Jackson; and her siblings, Glenna Olson and husband Rex, of Perry, IL, Mark Theivagt and wife Linda, of Beardstown, IL, and Matt Theivagt, of Bluff Springs, IL.

 

Cremation is under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Rose June Spector

Rose June Spector beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother of Mauriceville, Texas joined Jesus on December 28, 2017 at the age of 80 after a long hard fought battle with Alzheimer’s.  At her request her body was donated to Science Care facility in Colorado for research in hopes of helping find a cure for Alzheimer’s.

Rose was born on April 12, 1937, in Port Arthur, Texas, to June Marie Young Sheffield and Rufus Sheffield. She was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in 1955 and then she attended Lamar University and graduated from Hotel Dieu as a Registered Nurse in 1958.

Rose worked at St. Mary’s Hospital, Green Acres Nursing Home and Polly’s Nursing home as director of nurses, St. Elizabeth’s Hospital before becoming a school nurse for Deweyville ISD where after 16 years of service she retired in 1994.

She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Mauriceville, Texas. Rose loved spending time at the lake fishing, baking for the holidays and spoiling her grandchildren. All of her grandchildren spent time in the kitchen, licking beaters of brownie batter or cookie dough, as well as rolling biscuits for chicken and dumplings. 

Rose is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, James Richard Spector; sisters, Frances Simpson, of Nederland; and Robyn Baker and her husband, Ken, of Mansfield; sons, Jim Spector, of Winner, South Dakota; Tom Spector and his wife, Michele, of Brantford Ontario, Canada; and Tim Spector and his wife, Stacy ,of Kearney Nebraska; daughter, Cay Melancon and her husband, Daryl, of Mauriceville; grandchildren, Tre’ Spector and his wife Alyssa, of Salina, Kansas; Paige Melancon, of Houston; D.J. Melancon, of Lubbock; Justin Spector and his wife, Brooke, of Jena, Louisiana; Ryan Spector, of Nebraska; Danielle Pasztor; and Nic Pasztor, both of Canada; great-granddaughter,  Addison Rose Spector, of Salina, Kansas; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Rufus Sheffield and his wife, Ovon; mother, June Judice and her husband, Amos; brother, Michael Sheffield; and her grandson, Joshua Spector.

 

The family would like to thank the many caregivers that meant so much to “Ms. Rose”: Suzette Haynes, Altus Hospice- Jessica Broussard, Juanita Patton and Amalia Clark, Family Care of Orange- Pearl, Kaylynn, Pammie Jean, Mary Jane and Arlie

A gathering of Mrs. Spector’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Pecan Acres Baptist Church, Vidor.

Dessie Ray Arrant, 91, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 1, 2018, in Orange.

 

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Bland Cemetery in Orange. Officiating will be Keith Meyers.

 

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, January 8, 2018 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

 

Born in Orange, Texas on July 5, 1926, she was the daughter of Raymond J. Peveto and Annie Gladys (Walles) Peveto Davis. Dessie was member of Old First Orange Baptist Church. Music was a big part of her life, loving to sing and dance any chance she got. She worked at Greyhound for a number of years. Dessie loved the Lord and enjoyed ceramics, her dogs- Pepper and Barney, watching crime shows, working in the yard and tending to her garden. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond Peveto and Gladys Peveto Davis; stepfather, Lewis Rayford Davis; loving husband, Buford Lloyd Arrant; daughter, Deborah Nancine Arrant; and brother Jack Roy Peveto.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Becky Arrant Merritt of Texarkana, Texas; grandchildren, Shannon Crister, John Lee Merritt, Brian Merritt and Brenda Hughes; many great-grandchildren; devoted cousin, Linda Phillips of Orange, Texas; special cousin, Betty Cooper of Orange, Texas; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

 

Honorary pallbearers will be Russell Wooley and J.P. Finch.

Paul James White, 82, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on January 2, 2018, in Austin, Texas.

 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, Texas. Officiating will be Mr. Jeremy Fletcher. Burial will follow the service at Antioch Cemetery in Buna, Texas.

 

Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 12:00 p.m.

 

Born in Groves, Texas, on September 9, 1935, he was the son of Jasper White and Agnes Abshire White. Paul worked as an operation supervisor at Texas Chemical.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Agnes White; and his loving wife, Nelda White.

 

He is survived by his children, Rodney Paul White and wife Libby, of Beaumont, James Keith White and wife Trudy, of Bridge City, and Bryan White and wife Elois, of Cedar Park; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Quida Keel and husband Earl, Wayne White and wife Thelma, Luther White and wife Cheryl, Bonnie White and Mark White.

 

Serving as pallbearers will be Logan White, Jordan White, Jared White, Garrett White, Jeremy Fletcher, and Bryan White.

Ike Lafitte II

Ike Lafitte II, 57, of Orange, died Wednesday, January 3, 2018. He was born on February 9, 1960, to Shirley Dell Dudley Lafitte and Louis Jean Lafitte, in Beaumont. Ike worked as a training coordinator for Exxon Mobil.

 

Survivors include his sons, Bryce Lafitte of Vidor and Brody Lafitte and his wife, Briana, of Orange; and daughter, Brianne Madigan of China, and their mother, Melinda Russell; sons, Gavin Lafitte and Devin Lafitte, both of Bridge City, and their mother, Angela Cullum; mother, Dell Bergeron of Kerrville; brother, Daryl Lafitte and his wife, Cheryl, of Moody; sisters, Karen Cravy and her husband, Ricky, of Winnie and Sharon Ross and her husband, Leslie, of Orange; and grandchildren, Carson Jean Lafitte, Emma Rene Madigan, and Jacob Raymond Madigan.

 

A gathering of Mr. Lafitte’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 8, 2018, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Broussard’s. A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.

James Weldon Passmore

James Weldon Passmore, 70, of Athens, Texas went to be with his heavenly father on January 6, 2018. He was born July 9, 1947 in Beaumont, Texas to J.W. Passmore and Ruby Passmore

 

In 1966 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and then was transferred to the Marines as a Corpsman. He served in Viet Nam until 1970 when he was honorably discharged.  He received 2 Purple Hearts as result of injuries received during service.

 

After discharge from the Marines, he moved to Huntsville, Texas.  There he studied at Sam Houston State and worked as an X-ray tech. In 1970 he married his wife Linda Spivey.  James and Linda had 2 sons, Stephen and John. 

 

After graduating from Sam Houston with a double major in History and Biology, James held various positions with U.S. Post Office and FMC.  In 1986 the family moved to Athens, Texas where James managed the Argon Bristol Meyers Squibb facility. In 1993 He left employment with Argon to start a new medical device company, FutureMatrix Interventional, Inc.  From 1993 to 2015, under Mr. Passmore’s leadership as Chairman and CEO, FutureMatrix grew from 9 employees to over 400 and became a significant medical device developer and manufacture. The company manufactures several proprietary medical devices invented by the Company, which have greatly helped physicians in vascular procedures.

 

During this same time, Mr. Passmore became dedicated to giving back to the community by helping people get jobs that otherwise might be unemployable.  This also included feeding the hungry and providing clothes and shelter to others.  Training these people and helping them become stable members of the community with a strong emphasis on Christian values at the work place and away. James was a long-time member of Eastern Hills Church of Christ where he worked on various ministries, including Meals of Kindness, Jail Ministry and Willing Hands Ministry.  James also loved to teach Sunday school and Bible classes.  He also led bible studies at FutureMatrix.  In 2011 James and Linda Passmore started Athens Soup Kitchen which provides free meals to the needy of Athens and operates on donations and volunteers from throughout the community.

 

Mr. Passmore was a loving, dedicated husband, father and grandfather which will be greatly missed. He loved participating in sports with his two sons, including coaching youth baseball, and other events involving his children and grandchildren.

 

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda Passmore, son Stephen Passmore of Athens, daughter in law Emily, son John Passmore and daughter in law Shannon, grandchildren Ashley Beenie (Jonathan), Joseph Ryan Passmore, Ruthie Passmore, Gracie Passmore, Emma Passmore, Christian Passmore and Lanie Passmore; great grandchildren Makinlee Beenie, Gracie Beenie and Raelynn Beenie; nieces and nephews Susan Smith (Andrew) Paul and Michael. Other family members Gary and Alice McConathy, Denise and Mike Vickers, Rhonda Glena, Amber Vickers, Kristal Allen and Rene Glena.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, J. W. and Ruby Passmore and sister Bonnie Norsworthy.

 

Visitation will be Tuesday January 9, 2018 5-7pm at Eastern Hills Church of Christ, Athens, Texas.  Funeral services will be Wednesday January 10, 2018 2:00pm, at Eastern Hills Church of Christ, Athens, Texas.  Interment will be at Athens City Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers will be Stephen Passmore, John Passmore, Sam Alford, Allen Boswell, Freddie Paul and Ramon Castaneda.

 

Memorials or donations may be made to: Athens Soup Kitchen P.O. Box 1436 Athens, Texas 75751, Boles Home and Disciples Clinic.

Beth Ann Windham, 78, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 6, 2018, at her home surrounded by loved ones.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, at First United Methodist Church in Orange with Reverend John Warren officiating. A private burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.

 

Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10:30 a.m.

 

Born in Beaumont, Texas, on September 11, 1939, she was the daughter of John Revelle Everett and Mary Elizabeth “Bettye” (Herndon) Everett. Beth Ann worked as a bookkeeper for Orange County having worked in the Child Welfare Department and the Adult Probation Department. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was also a member of the Orange Service League. Beth Ann loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by those who knew her.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Revelle and Bettye Everett.

 

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband; Jerry A. Windham, of Orange; children, Julie Ayala and husband Kenneth, of Beaumont; Jimmy Windham and wife DeeDee, of Orange; and Wendi McCarver and husband Randall, of Pinehurst, NC. Her grandchildren who knew her best as Nana include Elizabeth Shakour and husband Derek, of Katy; Lauryn Franks and husband Colin, of Orange; Lyndsey Windham, of Orange; Kelsey Sanders and husband Chris, of Ft. Stewart, GA; and Katey McCarver, of Greenville, NC. Nana’s great-grandchildren are Avery and Annelise Shakour and Beau Sanders. She is also survived by her brother, Rodney “Buzzy” Revelle Everett and wife Tucy, of Henderson.

Elizabeth Ann Hart Delaughter

Elizabeth Ann Hart Delaughter, age 70 of Weatherford, Texas, left this world at 11:40 AM on Saturday, January 6, 2018.

Ann was born in Brookhaven, Mississippi on October 3, 1947. She graduated Woodlawn High school in Baton Rouge in 1965. Ann married Michael Delaughter at Central Baptist Church in Baton Rouge on July 30, 1964.

Ann worked at the social security office to support the two while Mike completed college. Soon after Ann’s family grew to three with the arrival of Craig in Jackson, Alabama in 1970. Jeff showed up two and a half years later in Alexandria, Louisiana in 1972. Ann and Mike were baptized the same night at Community Bible Church in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1975. On July 5, 1978 Ann and her family moved to Orange, Texas where she would spend the next 39 years.

Ann worked diligently in the home while the boys were young. Once they were older, Ann worked as a bus driver and teacher’s aide in special education. Ann hosted vacation bible schools in her neighborhood, taught Sunday school and was an active member at Westwood Bible Church in Beaumont and then First Baptist Church in Deweyville, Texas.

Ann was passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus Christ to anyone she encountered, and even inside prison walls.

Ann is survived by her husband of 53 years Mike Delaughter of Weatherford, TX; sons, Craig (Carol) Delaughter of Fort Worth, TX and Jeff (Karina) Delaughter of Milwaukee, WI; grandson Pierce Delaughter of Mandeville, LA; her mother Penny Hart of Bogue Chitto, MS, brothers; Charlie (Delores) Hart of Bogue Chitto, MS, Tommy (Becky) Hart of Bogue Chitto, MS, Billy John Hart (deceased), Ken (Cindy) Hart of Bogue Chitto, MS, Gene Hart of Bogue Chitto, MS and sisters, Kathy (Bruce) Crosby of Smithdale, MS. As well as many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Deweyville with Rev. Damon M. Bickham and Rev. Brad Bickham officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Deweyville under the direction of Dorman Funeral.

Services will also be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Riverwood Funeral Home in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 PM on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Riverwood Funeral Home in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Interment will follow at Twin Oaks Cemetery in Bogue Chitto, Mississippi.

Rhonda Kaye Heartfield, 60, of Beaumont, Texas, died Sunday, January 7, 2018.

 

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend David Abshire. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.

 

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Friday at the funeral home in Bridge City.

 

Born in Groves, Texas, on July 15, 1957, Rhonda was the daughter of Richard Daniel and Betty Elaine (Whitman) Belk. Rhonda was the owner of RKH Rentals and owned several rental properties in Beaumont. She loved the beach and enjoyed listening to music, singing, and dancing. Rhonda was very outgoing and generous, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

 

Rhonda was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Whitman Belk; stepmother, Sharon Belk; and son, John Logan Broussard.

 

She is survived by her father, Richard Belk of Bridge City; brother, Clint Belk and wife Linda of Mauriceville; sisters, Jennie Eveleigh and husband Richard of McKinney, Edie Gambrell and husband David of Vidor; and several nieces and nephews.

Alma Thibodeaux

Alma Thibodeaux, age 86, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the Meadows Nursing Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 15, 2018, at St. Therese Catholic Church, located at 1409 6th street in Orange, Texas. The Celebrant for Mass will be father Joseph P. Daleo. Committal and Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Orange, Texas. A wake will be held from 8:00 am until 10:00 am with a Rosary at 9:30 AM at St. Therese Catholic Church. A repast will be held at the St. Therese life center following the committal. Services are under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.

Alma G. Thibodeaux was born on Friday, September 18, 1931 in Church Point, Louisiana to Theodate and Katherine Guillory. She was married in 1948 to Paul Thibodeaux of Lawtell, Louisiana for 59 years, until he proceeded her in death. Of this union she bore 3 children. Alma was the most loving and caring person. She worked at the Orange Memorial Hospital for 20 years, as well as with Home Health Care for over 15 years. Alma was a lifelong member of St. Therese Catholic Church. She was also a member of the ladies auxiliary in the church. In Alma’s lifetime she was known by more than just her name. All of her children, grandchildren and even her great-grandchildren called her Momma. Family and friends also knew her by Catin (Baby Doll) and Madaine (God Child). She was known to always have her heart and doors wide open, loving and feeding anyone who entered through her doors.

Alma is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Paul Thibodeaux; parents, Theodate and Katherine Guillory; brothers, Ulysses and Welton Guillory and sisters, Sylvania and Vernita.  

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Paul M. Thibodeaux and wife Zena, Debra Thibodeaux and Mark G. Thibodeaux, all of Orange, Texas; Grandchildren, Mark P. Thibodeaux, Demorris M. Thibodeaux and Victoria M. Thibodeaux; Great-Grandchildren, Kayla S. Thibodeaux, Demorris M. Thibodeaux, JR., Mark M. Thibodeaux and Demarcus R. Thibodeaux, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The Thibodeaux family wishes to extend their appreciation and thanks to The Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation nurses and staff.

Dayton Wesley Greer, 46, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on January 8, 2018, in Beaumont, Texas.

 

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 15, 2018, at Cowboy Church of Orange County in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Dale Lee.

 

Born in Beaumont, Texas, on September 1, 1971, Wesley loved spending time with his family and friends. He was an excellent mechanic and loved working on cars and repairing things. Anywhere Wesley went, he could light up a room with his smile and great sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love him.   

 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jason Greer.

 

He is survived by his father, Dayton C. Greer and wife Rose Greer; mother, Vicky Gray Greer; son, Dayton Laine Greer of Nederland; daughters, Emily and Lindsey of El Paso; brother, Brandon Greer; twin step-sisters, Kaylee and Kelsey Tejada; along with numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Agnes H. Dixon, 93, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 10, 2018, in Jasper, Texas.

 

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Keith Tilley, of Faith United Methodist Church in Orange. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

 

Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.

 

Born in Crowley, Louisiana, on August 2, 1924, she was the daughter of Haughton Hoffpauir and Lela (LeDoux) Hoffpauir. Agnes worked at Penney’s and at the Fair Store. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. Agnes enjoyed crocheting, making the best fruitcake and jelly, and spending time with her children and grandchildren that she adored. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

 

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Dixon, Sr.; her brothers and sisters; and a great-great-granddaughter.

 

She is survived by her children, John A. Dixon, Jr. and wife Pam, of Brookeland, Molley Abshier and husband Larry, of Orange, and Jane Lampman and husband Ed, of Mauriceville; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Oscar Dixon and wife Bea, of Orange; sister-in-law, Jean Dixon; and a very special friend of hers, Clarence Kite.

 

Serving as pallbearers will be Allen Dixon, Jason Dixon, J.J. Dixon, Chris Lampman, Casey Abshier, and Cody Abshier. Honorary pallbearers are David Lampman and Jimbo Davis.

Dennis Lee Foreman, 74, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 11, 2018, in Beaumont, Texas.

 

Born in Orange, Texas, on May 7, 1943, he was the son of Dennis Foreman and Effie Goodman Trahan.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Marlene Foreman; children, Jackie Weaver, Sandra Derise, Janet Willis and husband David, Kenneth Foreman, and Dennis Keith Foreman, all of Jennings, LA; step-children, Cynthia Hagan and husband Michael, of Orange, Lene Chance, of Orange, and Renee Corkill and husband James, of Astoria, OR; 8 grandchildren; 9 step-grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Delores Arnett and husband Robert, of San Antonio, Carolyn Hetzel and husband Edwin, of Port Arthur, and Lisa Arvizo, of Mauriceville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

James D. McCollough, age 75 of Deweyville, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in Houston, Texas. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PMon Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Dorman Funeral Home.

James was born in Leesville, Louisiana to Leona Shaw McCollough and JW McColllough. James worked in the oil industry as an engineer. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved to go fishing. James proudly served in the United States Army.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three sons; James Charles McCollough, Joseph Benjamin McCollough and Jason McCollough, and a brother Douglas Eugene McCollough.

Survivors include his two sisters; Betty McCollough Wakefield and Patsy McCollough Tynes. Eight grandchildren; Jennie McCollough, Justin McCollough, Jarod McCollough, Jammie McCollough, Cheyenne McCollough, James McCollough, Jessie McCollough and Jordan McCollough. Cousin, Roy McCollough .

Linda Lea “Ginger” Werth Laughlin, 70, of Port Neches, Texas, passed away on January 10, 2018, at her home.

 

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on July 20, 1947, she was the daughter of Bobby Werth and Genoa Werth. She retired as an administrative assistant at BASF. She was a very loving and caring person and always had a smile on her face. Ginger loved her family very much and loved spending time with them, especially during the holidays.  She will greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby and Genoa Werth; husband, James Curtis Laughlin; daughter, Cindy Major; grandchildren, Patrick Wiggins, James Whitney, ad John James Laughlin; and her brother, James Werth.

 

Ginger is survived by her children, Curtis Laughlin and Lisa, Calvin Laughlin, and Candice Morgan and husband Michael; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Johnnie Faye Powell, George Werth, Roberta Green, and Susan Johnson and husband Cecil.

Brian Roy Montgomery

Brian Roy Montgomery, of Round Rock, Texas passed away at the age of 49 on January 9, 2018. Brian was born on January 16, 1968 in South Charleston, West Virginia to father, Dennis Montgomery and mother, Mary Montgomery. Brian became a proud Texan at three-weeks old, when his family relocated to Orange, Texas, where he grew up in a large, loving family with three sisters and one brother. He attended Lamar University, graduating with a business degree in Finance. He worked as an Accountant in the Texas Education Agency in Austin, Texas on a team who considered him a respected, well-liked member.

Brian was a soft-spoken, hard-working, kind individual who showed his love for his family through actions, such as never forgetting a single birthday or special occasion. Brian enjoyed the Space Program and tried to never miss a lift-off. His hobbies included studying history and astronomy and visiting sites related to these subjects. He will be sorely missed by all those privileged to have known him.  

Brian is preceded in death by his father, Dennis Montgomery; brothers-in-law, Matthew Rivette and Norman McBride. He is survived by his mother, Mary Montgomery; sister, Denise Moody; brother, David Montgomery and wife, Lea; sister, Susan Willett and husband, Jim; and sister, Kristan McBride. As well as nieces and nephews: Nicole and Brayndon McHenry, Brittany and Evan Duncan, Branden and Savannah Montgomery, Katrina Rivette and Patrick and Zoë Wolfford; Kirsten, Nathan and Andrew McBride.

A funeral mass will be held in his honor, 2:00 PM, Friday, January 12, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Orange Christian Services or the Bridge City/Orangefield Ministerial Alliance.

Jeff loved fishing, watching wrestling and playing with his dog Slim. 

He is survived by his daughter, Crystal Compton and husband, Rick Compton, Jr. of Orange, Texas, two grandsons, Blaze Compton and Brody Compton; his sister, Jan Mosley of Vidor, Texas, sister-in-law Gloria Pring of Orange, Texas as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Betty Joe Pring, brother, Allen Pring and sister, Lisa Pring.

Born in Connersville, Indiana, on May 14, 1950, he was the son of William Richard Allen, Sr. and Eva Kenmuir Allen. William will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Michael Allen and David Allen; sister, Karen Allen; one nephew and two nieces.

 

He is survived by his daughters, Angela Pyle (Bart) of Richmond, Virginia, and Lisa Becker (Jim) of Flat Rock, Indiana; son, Jonathan Allen (Melanie) of Milton, Indiana; grandchildren, Nathaniel Pyle, Brandon Pyle, Kya Jones (Luke), Jimmy Becker (Jera), Amanda Becker, Zack Allen and Missy Allen; 9 great- grandchildren; niece, Cinderella Mong (Dustin Young); siblings, Charles Allen, Kathy Allen and Jack Allen (Amanda); many nieces and nephews; and close friends who are considered family, Ray Lowe and Jack Hopkins.

Bonita Jo Nazworth, age 86, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. Services, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home, will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Calvary Baptist Church in Orange, Texas, with Pastor David Millner officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Autumn Oaks Cemetery in Orange, Texas. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange, Texas.

Bonita was born on Wednesday, September 10, 1931, in Culdesac, Idaho. She had been a long time resident of Orange, Texas after moving from Spokane, Washington in 1958. Bonita found the love of her life when she met Harold Nazworth. They were married on August 26, 1951 in Spokane, Washington and spent 65 Blissful years together. The couple had six children together, whom just added to their love and happiness. Bonita was a woman of many talents and was loved by everyone who knew her. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. She was of the Baptist religion and had a very strong faith. Bonita loved the Lord and even more so loved telling anyone and everyone that would listen about the Lord and his promises. Bonita was a wife, daughter, mother, grandmother and friend whom will forever be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Bonita is preceded in death by her parents, Montana Gene (Cruger) and Leon C. Talbott; Son, Dale Nazworth; Brother, Jack Talbott; Sister, Carol Crisp; Grandson, Jared Bankester; Great-Grandchildren, Avery VanSumeren and Callen Nazworth; Son-In-Law, Terry Bankester.

Bonita is survived by her husband of 65 years, Harold Nazworth; Children, John Nazworth and wife Phyliss, Bret Nazworth and wife Wanda, Janeil Bankester, Ronda Gwen VanSumeren and Kay Longon and husband Harry; Brother, Glen Talbott; Sister, Marilyn Lawson and husband Wayne; Grandchildren, Jennifer, Beth, Jason, Nathan, Becky, Christopher, Joshua, Bobby, Casey, Emily Jo, Carissa, Keith, David, Margaret Ann, Jay, Lyndsay, Cody and Landon as well as 28 Great-Grandchildren and a host of friends.

Marjorie Ford, 89, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 12, 2018, in Beaumont, Texas.

 

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Paul Masters of West Orange Church of Christ. Burial will follow at 12 p.m., at Zion Hill in Jasper.

 

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, January 15, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

 

Born in San Augustine, Texas, on November 2, 1928, she was the daughter of Austin M. Harvey and Mary Ellen (Roberts) Harvey. Marjorie loved serving the Lord and was a faithful member of West Orange Church of Christ. She worked at Sears, JCPenney and The Fair for a number of years as a sales associate. Marjorie enjoyed reading and sewing, especially quilts. She was an incredibly loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and brought joy wherever she went. She will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love her. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her niece, Elaine Oldbury and dear friend, Aundria Lunsford for their love and support.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Ford; parents; and siblings.

 

She is survived by sons, David Ford and Peggy of New Braunsfels, and Darrell Ford and Phyllis of Orange; grandchildren, Sarah and Lisa Ford, Dr. Amy Bumgardner and Matt, Ty Ford and Stacy, and Billy Ford and Nicole; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Berkley and Boston Bumgardner, Micah and Shepherd Ford, and Brock and Mason Ford; sister, Maxine King; and numerous nieces and nephews and other loving friends and family.
